Recover an incomplete seed phrase

The seed phrase (or recovery phrase) is the set of 12, 18 or 24 words that gives access to your crypto wallet. If you wrote it down wrong, part of it was erased, you changed the order or you're unsure of a word, in many cases it can be reconstructed.

At Satoshi Spain we are a Spain-based company, headquartered in Barcelona, specialised in recovering access to crypto wallets.

Which seed problems we can solve

Most wallets use the BIP39 standard, which has a fixed list of 2048 words and a built-in checksum that helps us. The most common cases:

• One or more words are missing from the phrase.
• A word is misspelled or isn't exactly one from the standard.
• The word order is uncertain.
• You have the seed but don't know which wallet it belongs to.

When it can be recovered (and when it can't)

We want to be honest, because this field is full of false promises:

• It can usually be recovered when only one or two words are missing, or when the problem is the order or a spelling mistake.
• It is much harder when many words are missing. The more are missing, the more combinations there are, and beyond a point it stops being feasible. We'll tell you clearly at the assessment.

We never guarantee a 100% recovery. What we do guarantee is an honest assessment and that, if we don't recover access, you pay nothing.

How we do it

1. Free assessment. You tell us which words you have and which are missing. We then tell you whether it's feasible and what would be needed.
2. Contract and NDA. Before anything sensitive is shared, we sign a service agreement and a non-disclosure agreement under Spanish law. We only work with the legitimate owner of the wallet.
3. Recovery. We test the possible seed combinations using on-demand GPU computing power and our own research, checking which ones match your wallet. We keep you updated throughout.
4. Handover. Once we recover access, we help you regain control of your funds securely. The final step can even be done in person in Barcelona.

We only charge a success fee of 35% of the recovered amount, and only if we succeed. There is no upfront payment.

What we need from you

For the initial assessment we only need you to tell us:

• How many words your phrase has (12, 18, 24) and which you have and which are missing.
• Which wallet you used, if you know (for example MetaMask, Trezor, Ledger).
• If you have the public address or a transaction, so we can check the results.

Important: never send us your full seed phrase by email. If your case is viable, we first sign the contract and the NDA, and then explain how to share the data securely.
